The Community Development Council (CDC) Vouchers Scheme 2025 (May) was officially launched on 13 May 2025 at Nee Soon South Community Club. The event was graced by Guest-of-Honour, Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Mr Lawrence Wong. Also in attendance were Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry & Culture, Community and Youth, Chairman of the Mayors' Committee, and Mayor of South West District; Ms Denise Phua Lay Peng, Mayor of Central Singapore District; Mr Desmond Choo, Mayor of North East District; Mr Alex Yam, Mayor of North West District; and Mr Fahmi Aliman, Mayor of South East District.
Continued Support for Singaporean Households and Heartland Merchants
As announced in Budget 2025, all Singaporean households will receive an additional $800 in CDC Vouchers to help with daily expenses. The vouchers are distributed in two tranches — $500 in May 2025 and $300 in January 2026. For the May 2025 tranche, as in previous tranches, $250 is allocated to spend at participating hawkers and heartland merchants, and $250 to spend at participating supermarkets.
This seventh tranche of the nationwide digital CDC Vouchers Scheme continues to support Singaporean households and participating hawkers and heartland merchants. By encouraging Singaporeans to spend within their communities, this scheme provides a boost to the vibrancy of heartland businesses.
The five CDCs actively assist hawkers and merchants in onboarding to the scheme, ensuring they can seamlessly accept CDC Voucher transactions and benefit fully from the scheme. With a wide network of participating businesses, the scheme ensures that Singaporeans can conveniently access and spend their CDC Vouchers on essential goods and services. Residents can easily locate nearby heartland merchants, hawkers and supermarkets by visiting go.gov.sg/cdcvouchers. Participating hawkers and heartland merchants can also be identified by the teal CDC Vouchers decal, while participating supermarkets can be identified by the yellow CDC Vouchers decal.
Seamless Process for Claiming and Spending CDC Vouchers
From 13 May 2025, Singaporean households can visit go.gov.sg/cdcv and log in with their Singpass to claim the digital vouchers. In line with sustainability efforts and positive feedback from residents, notification letters will not be issued for this seventh tranche of the CDC Vouchers Scheme. Information on the claiming process will still be available through digital platforms, social media, newspaper advertisements and community posters to guide residents, reflecting both the scheme's familiarity among Singaporean households and our commitment to reducing paper waste.
Once claimed, an SMS from "gov.sg" will be sent to the registered mobile number, containing a unique voucher link. This link can be easily shared among household members, allowing everyone to use the vouchers conveniently. Do note that the SMS links for the CDC Vouchers 2025 (May) is different from the link for the CDC Vouchers 2025 (January). Both the January and May 2025 vouchers are valid until 31 December 2025.
Ensuring Continued Support for the Digitally Less-Savvy
The May 2025 tranche of digital CDC Vouchers remains a hassle-free way for residents to claim and use their vouchers. For those who may face difficulties with the digital process, assistance will be readily available at Community Centres/Clubs (CCs) and SG Digital Community Hubs. To ensure inclusivity, priority queues will be in place at CCs for seniors and persons with disabilities. Additional support will also be provided for residents without smartphones or those who need help setting up Singpass accounts or resetting passwords. The CDCs appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during peak periods for voucher claims.
To enhance support, the CDCs are working with youth and student volunteers to guide residents through the claiming process. In the first week of the launch, over 200 volunteers from institutions such as ITE College Central, Nanyang Polytechnic, and Hwa Chong Institution will be deployed at selected CCs, assisting residents alongside CDC Ambassadors. For the first time, staff volunteers from public agencies will also be joining in, lending additional support to this collective effort.
Additionally, SG Digital Office’s (SDO) Digital Ambassadors and Silver Infocomm Wellness Ambassadors will be present at CCs from 13 May to 26 May 2025 to help residents claim their digital vouchers. SDO will conduct daily CDC Vouchers Learning Journeys at these locations to equip residents with hands-on knowledge on how to use their vouchers effectively. Beyond this period, Singaporeans can continue to pick up digital skills for daily living tasks, including redeeming CDC Vouchers, through SDO’s Digital Ambassadors at 36 SG Digital Community Hubs and over 200 roving counters island wide.
