Immediate support for all Singaporean households to defray living expenses through the CDC Vouchers Scheme 2022
11 May 2022
Media Release for the CDC Vouchers Scheme 2022, which was officially launched on 11 May 2022 at Tampines West Community Club
The CDC Vouchers Scheme 2022 was launched by Minister for Finance Mr Lawrence Wong today at Tampines West Community Club, together with Ms Low Yen Ling, Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth & Trade and Industry, Chairman of Mayors’ Committee and Mayor of South West District; Ms Denise Phua Lay Peng, Mayor of Central Singapore District; Mr Desmond Choo, Mayor of North East District; Mr Alex Yam, Mayor of North West District; Mr Fahmi Aliman, Mayor of South East District.
All Singaporean households can each receive $100 in vouchers, which is part of the $560 million Budget 2022 Household Support Package announced by Minister Wong at Budget 2022.
1.22 million Singaporean households can claim second set of digital CDC Vouchers
Noting the concerns that many households and businesses have about rising prices from the spike in global inflation, Minister Wong had earlier announced in his Ministerial Statement to bring forward the implementation of some Budget measures. In particular, the $100 CDC Vouchers for every Singaporean household will be disbursed earlier in mid-May. This is on top of the $100 disbursed four months ago in December last year and will help Singaporeans with their daily expenses.
For the CDC Vouchers Scheme 2022, up to 1.22 million Singaporean households will each receive $100 in CDC Vouchers. Singaporean households will have until 31 December 2022 to claim and spend their vouchers from both CDC Vouchers Schemes 2021 and 2022. More information on the CDC Vouchers Scheme 2022 is available at vouchers.cdc.gov.sg.
How to claim your CDC Vouchers 2022
Similar to the last tranche, only one family member is required to login to his/her Singpass account to claim the CDC Vouchers 2022 on behalf of their household at go.gov.sg/cdcv. Upon signing up, a link for the CDC Vouchers will be sent to the registered mobile phone number of the claimant, who can share the vouchers with other household members via the same link.
Residents can spend the vouchers at participating hawkers and heartland merchants identified by the CDC voucher decal. Alternatively, residents can also find the list of participating merchants near them at go.gov.sg/cdcvouchers.
The CDC Vouchers Scheme 2022 will retain its digital format. Help will continue to be rendered to digitally less-savvy citizens. Digital Ambassadors at various CCs and existing SG Digital Community Hubs will provide assistance for residents who need help to claim their digital vouchers. Residents without smartphones or who need to set up their Singpass or reset their Singpass password will also be assisted at the CCs. Where needed, there will also be the option of printing hardcopy vouchers at the CCs.
In addition, Silver Infocomm Wellness Ambassadors, a group of volunteers who are passionate about encouraging fellow seniors to acquire digital knowledge, will be providing peer guidance to citizens interested to learn more about the CDC Vouchers at selected CCs.
To date, over 16,000 hawkers and heartland merchants have come on board the scheme. Hawkers and heartland merchants keen to join the CDC Vouchers Scheme can go online to register their interest at vouchers.cdc.gov.sg/merchants/info, and CDC ambassadors will reach out to them.
